3 WAYS TO OVERCOME CHALLENGES WHEN LAUNCHING YOUR BRAND

Know Your Customer

When you know your target audience and have narrowed it down specifically, you’ve won half the battle right there. We all know that when you try to please everyone, you serve no-one. But if you are catering for a bridal party, you’ll know what specific things you need to buy and set your theme accordingly. It’s crucial to understand how your products and services will help your target audience to solve their current problems.

Launching with a Brand Strategy

When it comes to personal branding, I’ve faced a number of challenges. It’s like deciding to pick a color swatch at Home Depot that you wanted to pick for your bathroom an hour ago. Yet, you still keep playing with the swatches on the touch screen, contemplating which one would look the best. When it comes to personal branding, we all struggle. However, the easiest way to overcome this challenge is to have a plan and a strategy prior to even arriving at Home Depot. In this case, you might want to list all the core strengths, attributes, and values that define your brand. This is an exercise that can be practiced with a friend, or even pose a question with your network on Facebook to see what they think of you. Once you have a concrete list of things, start sketching on a paper - and yes, chicken drawings are perfectly good enough to brainstorm with a brand expert. Stop second-guessing yourself, once you have figured out the key elements that make up your brand.

Test Drive Your Brand

Prior to launching your brand, test your look and feel with a small audience who have not yet heard about your product or services. Ask them if anything strikes a chord with them about your brand, and take notes as you gather responses. As you get feedback from the vibe notes, consider doing a final iteration.
